Starting Lines, LLC was founded in 2014 by freelance writer and life coach, Emma Nelson.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in technical communication and a professional background in public speaking and applied journalism, Emma has been collaborating with companies and readers for more than 10 years to deliver quality editorial work through various channels of communication.
Driven to form a deeper connection with her clients, Emma briefly left the marketing industry in 2017 to earn her certification as a wellness coach from the Health Coach Institute. She went on to pursue a career serving the Greater Nashville area as a certified health coach at Profile by Sanford Health. She returned to the digital advertising realm with a passion to support small businesses with creative and effective marketing solutions.
Her experience includes social media marketing for Denver Preschool Program, social media strategy and management for On Purpose Now, blog development and web management for Capstone Investment Financial Group, social media management for Pinewood Country Club, content marketing for Element Creative, and freelance writing and copyediting for Write on Red, LLC. Her coaching experience includes working with clients in financial services, the entertainment industry, and healthcare, to name a few.
Emma resides in Northeast Wisconsin with her husband and son. Outside of content marketing, she enjoys distance running and gardening and can often be found absorbing the natural beauty of the Midwest in various state parks across Wisconsin.
